Match quality: 2.5/10 (weak)

Actually I planned to watch two matches in the neighbouring village of Großlehna, but both the matches were postponed due to whatsoever two days before. Not a single match in the four city divisions in Leipzig or that ones in Halle was played. Not a single one! And in Merseburg district there were no matches because as backward and dumb Saxony-Anhalt’s politicians are, they forbid to held sports events on the last Sunday before Advent - the day for commemorating the dead - the so-called Totensonntag. But luckily there is the Leipzig district, were no-one cares about Totensonntag or bad weather…
Because all the other matches were played in towns that are situated 50 to 80km away from Merseburg, I decided to watch that match of Markranstädt, although I already visited that ground, because they just were the closest team; 20km distance. The second closest by the way was Geithain. Their neighbouring town Böhlen became known to us when we made our way down there by bike. 110km there and back… Nice in summer, but it just sucks when the temperatures are going down to 0°C and the wind blows cold as ice.
The match is not worth many words. The first shot on goal was unstoppable for Döbeln’s defence, just 50 seconds had been played. Until the 25th minute, the match was good, especially the tackling and duels. But after the 25th minute, the match quality decreased.
In the second half the match was even worse and I wondered how Döbeln could equalise. Actually they can send thanks to that failure of an goalkeeper who let the ball rebound against a Döbeln player who stumbled the ball into the net.
1:1 was the final result. Deservedly, really deservedly for those two not absolutely weak, but nonetheless really not good teams.
Furthermore the referee was not so good considering some ridiculous decisions.
Moreover there had been a contradiction in the prices: 3€ entrance are less than in Saxony-Anhalt, Hamburg or Berlin in that level (3.50€ to 4.50€) but 1.50€ for a Bockwurst is intolerable.
80 fans are not much in Bezirksliga, but it was not bad that there were 10 young supporters from Döbeln who supported their team with flags and chants. Nonetheless it looked ridiculous how they jumped around in their black sweaters... The other fans were mainly quiet, despite that disabled man who shouted aggressively at other visitors.
After the final whistle I left the stadium immediately and went back to Merseburg. Until Kreypau without any problems, but between Kreypau and Trebnitz I took the first dirt road instead of the second one, so I landed in front of an electrified fencing. One kilometre back or straight ahead? Because I saw the castle of Merseburg in front of me, I decided to lift my bike over the fence and jump over it afterwards. Another time the same action and I was on a better path, that lead to another fencing after a kilometre. Now I could see Werder, but there was a deep stream to the left and another fencing to the right. Passed that fencing I just had to jump over two more fences to come on the track to Werder, a tiny suburb of Merseburg.
